Lightweight Profiler

The industry’s first and only hybrid profiling system, the SSI model CS9200 Multiple Purpose Profiler, merges the best features of lightweight and high speed profilers into a self-contained, professionally engineered trailer. Weighing less than most lightweight profilers, the CS9200 can be towed behind a small terrain or golf cart style vehicle for early testing of freshly paved surfaces and easy maneuvering within the tight confines of construction sites. SSI’s Walking Profiler, model CS8800, is a true walking speed surface profiling instrument capable of generating numerous ride quality statistics and precise depictions of localized roughness. Distilled from SSI’s profilograph and inertial profiling system technology, the CS8800 records the surface profile by measuring precise movements of distance and elevation changes that are processed with SSI’s proprietary data collection electronics and advanced digital filtering methods. The system generates commonly used ride indices such as IRI, simulated PRI, Floor Flatness, and other commonly used expressions of surface quality.
