General Description
The machine is
a versatile, fully-automated, single axis, closed loop
hydraulic testing system specifically designed to perform
tests on various specimens over a wide range of stresses
and frequencies. The system has sufficient flexibility to
perform in a variety of environments: university research,
special tests and standard tests required by state DOTs
and other government agencies. The design ensures the
easiest possible interface with the operating technician.

|
CONTROL SELECTION
Quick selection of templates used in the system. |
BASIC CONTROL
Provides machine control and access to the
templates for programming transducer set-up,
calibration, etc. |
FUNCTION GENERATOR
Provides the operator with the ability to program
custom testing sequences in force and position
control. |
|
TRANSDUCER SET-UP
Allows access to all transducer channels for
programming changes in gains, voltage to engineering
units, offsets, etc. |
TRANSDUCER
CALIBRATION
A highly effective procedure for rapid calibration
of the system's transducers. A polynomial
curve-fitting procedure is used to obtain the best
curve through collected points. |
EXUDATION TEST
Automatically performs the exudation phase of
California Test Method 301. At the end of test "Word
Pad" appears showing test data formatted for optional
spread sheet entry. |
|
STABILOMETER
RESISTANCE TEST
Automatically performs the stabilometer phase of
California Test Method 301. At the end of test "Word
Pad" appears showing test data formatted for optional
spread sheet entry. |
STABILOMETER VALUE
TEST
Automatically performs the exudation phase of
California Test Method 366. At the end of test "Word
Pad" appears showing test data formatted for optional
spread sheet entry. |
LIMITS
Automatically turns off the hydraulic actuator to
provide protection for expensive fixtures when load
(force) or stroke (position) limits are exceeded. |
