SSI is a vendor of proprietary test equipment products, Toughbook computers and in-vehicle workstations, and specialty tools for the infrastructure industry. SSI has offices in Mill Valley, California and Manhattan, Kansas.

SSI Test Equipment Systems

SSI sells and rents proprietary computerized profilographs, lightweight profilers, and high speed profiling systems. SSI manufactures and produces these systems with hardware produced by James Cox & Associates (Auburn, California).  SSI engineers in-house all electronics and software utilized on its test equipment.  SSI equipment is guaranteed to meet or exceed various DOT, ASTM and AASHTO specifications.

SSI’s road surface profile test equipment devices are in common usage by transportation agencies and contractors throughout the United States and are also marketed internationally through a network of authorized representatives.  SSI guaranties that its test equipment systems meet or exceed agency test methods and certification requirements. 

SSI's test equipment features patented technology, highly advanced computerization, and a lower cost solution for asphalt and concrete surface testing.  SSI's equipment is available in different configurations to satisfy any commonly used surface profile specification. For contractors, SSI's profilographs and Profiler offer user-friendly, cost-saving, versatile equipment that can be easily integrated into paving operations to obtain a smoother finish. For transportation agencies, SSI's equipment provides reliable and consistent test results. SSI's machines have been professionally engineered, and subjected to independent testing by University, contractor, and agency personnel.

Panasonic Toughook Computers and In-Vehicle Workstations

SSI is a reseller of the Panasonic Toughbook computer line. SSI also offers in-vehicle mounting components for creating a computer workstation within a vehicle interior.

SSI offers a full line of distance measurement products. Most specified are analog or digital measurement wheels available in numerous configurations. 

Asphalt and Concrete Tools

A complete line of concrete and asphalt tools used for any detail work of any construction jobs.  From aluminum straightedges to mason wall scrapers, SSI can supply it.

Pioneer Utility Vehicles

As a reseller of Ingersoll-Rand’s (Club Car) Pioneer vehicles, SSI offers various models of rugged lightweight utility vehicles. Various vehicle configurations and accessories are available.
